October 2023
I created Asteri Studios, selling handmade crochet clothing and accessories.
I received an award and funding for my final-year university project, The Yarn Reclaimer, which allowed me to buy my first 3D printer.
I designed my first yarn holder, a tool I’d used endlessly while crocheting, however, found them plain and uninspiring. After some research, I realised there were no creative or novelty yarn spinners available, and saw an opportunity to design and 3D my own. I started sharing my designs, not knowing what the reception was going to be.
October 2025
I have expanded our collection of yarn holder designs and have sold over 1600 units including multiple international wholesale orders! I have gained over 11k followers on our Instagram account and gathered millions of views. Our products have started a trend with now multiple businesses selling their own 3D printed yarn holder designs.
